Thorns a Roses Cpt 48

Amy asked Shadow if he could walk. He stood up slowly. His only fear, was that he would collaps in front of Amy. The last thing he wanted to do was to add to her worries. And Amy was already very worried about. He struggled, but he was able to stand with Amy's help. She had his arm around her neck which was helping him stand. Amy walked slowly with him, helping him up the poarch stairs. Amy helped him inside the house, and up the stair case. She brought him to his room. Even though she was a vampire and all of her natural sences had become ten times better, she still didn't have enough strength to lift him into the bed. And Shadow didn't have enough strength to lift himself off the ground. So Amy sat down on her knees and put Shadow's head in her lap. Shadow fell asleep quickly. But it was for the best, because Shadow would sleep through most of the pain. Amy looked at his wound. It was very deep and bloody. She wanted to see just how bad it was. She tried to touch it, but she noticed her hand glowing blue. She jerked her hand back quickly. She examined it, front and back. Is was not glowing anymore. She looked back down and Shadow's cut and thought for a minute. She started to touch it again. Her hand started glowing again. The closer she got to it, the more her hand glowed. She touched it, and she felt like power drained out of her. It didn't hurt Amy, and aparently it didn't hurt Shadow because he was still asleep. Amy's hand stopped glowing so she gently moved her hand away. Shadow's wound was gone. Amy realized what was going on. Being a vampire had given her a special healing touch. She was amazed, but she still had to care for Shadow for the time being. She gently ran the tips of her fingers down the side of Shadow's face. Amy looked at Shadow's face and noticed his eyes twitching. He opened his eyes slowly. He saw Amy looking at him; smiling. Shadow felt no pain.

" What happened? Where's Rouge? " Shadow questioned quietly.

" You said something like Chaos Blast and a red wave of energy shot out from you. Rouge flew away afterwords. " Amy replied.

" I remember Rouge cutting me. Where'd the cut go? " Shadow asked.

" I healed you. I'll explain later. " Amy answered.

Shadow closed his eyes again. He wasn't trying to go to sleep, he was just tired.

" Shadow? " Amy tried to get Shadow's attention.

" Yes? " Shadow answered.

" How did you meet Rouge in the first place? " Amy questioned.

Shadow smiled.

" What? " Amy gave a smile in return.

" That's a story to remember. " Shadow said with humor. " Well... We met in a forest about five years ago. "



---Five Years Ago---


Shadow was propped up against a tree, thinking of where he wanted to explore next, when he heard a small stick crack behind him. He became alert. Shadow flipped his ear around behind to heard better. Then in a blink of an eye, a white blurr jumped out of the bushes and tried to attack Shadow. It had it's hands out about to grab him around his neck. Shadow grabbed it's hands and pushed with imense strength. Whatever it was had wings. And it did not want Shadow to see it's face because it had it's wings over it's head casting a shadow, not allowing Shadow to see it. Then Shadow pushed with one,big, jerk. The force knocked the creature back against a tree. Shadow showed his teeth at it. He heard the creature hiss at him, which was a sign of threat to a vampire. Shadow didn't like it at all. Nothing was as fast or as strong as he was. He gave an ear peircing screech that sounded like some kind of monster. The creature the jumped forwards and pushed on Shadow's chest, causing him to fall on his back with the creature on him. The creature finally moved it's wings, revieling itself. Shadow and the creature were still showing teeth, untill Shadow actually saw the creatures face. It wasn't a creature at all. It was a female. A rather enchanting female. She was a bat. Her and Shadow were breathing heavily. Shadow's uneasy snarl, became a confused gaze. The bat looked strangly at Shadow. She quickly stood up and backed up. When she stood up, Shadow didn't take his eyes off of her. He starred at her the whole time he was standing up. The bat was attractive.

" I've never seen...a female vampire before. " Shadow said.

They slowly walked in a circle around each other, not turning their backs on each other. The hedgehog was very hansome. His voice was deep and cold sounding. He was attractive as well.

" Nor have I, a male vampire. " The bat said.

Her voice was different. Shadow didn't hear many people talk. The only thing people ever said to him, were begging words. Because the only time they would talk is when Shadow would attack them. They would beg him not to suck their blood. Shadow starred her in the eyes. They were a bright blue color.


" My name is Rouge. " The bat said.

" ...Rouge... " Shadow said in a daze.

The bat was beautiful to him.

" I am Shadow. " The hedgehog said.

" It's a pleasure, Shadow. " Rouge said smiling.

Shadow didn't let his guard down just yet though.
